Ricotta Belgian Waffles Ricotta Belgian Waffles

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup Miceli’s Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese
1 cup buttermilk
4 tbsp. unsalted butter
4 large eggs
Melted butter for waffle iron
1 cup pure maple syrup
Fresh berries
Whipped cream

Preheat waffle iron and brush it with melted butter.

Sift flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk, melted butter, ricotta and eggs. Pour into flour mixture and whisk until just combined.

Pour 1/2 cup of batter onto waffle iron. Cook waffle according to manufacturer’s instructions until golden and cooked through. Repeat until all the batter is used.

Serve waffles with maple syrup and top with fresh berries and whipped cream, if desired.
