The month of October is designated as Italian American Heritage Month. As such, it is a good time to explore Italian culture and heritage and there are several events scheduled at the Italian American Museum of Cleveland (IAMCLE) that can help you do this. Explore Italy class on Molise

This Explore Italy: Regional Culture, Language and Cuisine class will focus on the region of Molise. Attendees will explore various facets of the region, including the language, culture, food, and wines, with Dr. Paola Basile, a native of Italy and Professor of Italian Studies at Lake Erie College. The class will begin with a discussion about the region's culture and language and then attendees will have the opportunity to taste wine and cuisine from Molise. Cost is $30.

Little Italy Historical Walking Tour

Join IAMCLE Director Pamela Dorazio Dean on a one-hour tour through Cleveland’s Little Italy. She will share some fun and interesting stories that will shed light on the past of this historic neighborhood. Cost is $15.

Write Your Family History Workshop 

Participants will be given prompts to write out family stories in various genres. To help with writing the stories, participants are encouraged to bring photographs, newspaper articles, family history research, and any family history already written. The workshop is led by Annette Januzzi Wick, an author, blogger, speaker, and writing teacher. Cost is $35 and includes refreshments.
