The Siena Palio has cancelled for coronavirus pandemic

For the first time since WWII, Italy has cancelled the Siena Palio. Due to the coronavirus, Italy’s most famous horserace will not take place this summer, the city of Siena announced in May. The Palio, a tradition dating back centuries, attracts tens of thousands of spectators each July and August, but the city council feels the ongoing pandemic is too
