On a recent trip to Italy, we did a couple of family related visits. Our first stop, Norcia, is the home of my ancestors and the birthplace of Saint Benedict. Known for its spiritual legacy and culinary traditions, the town is often described as Italy’s capital of wild boar. Pork products, truffles, and lentils fill butcher shops lining the main square, many announced by the presence of a large stuffed boar.
