Every autumn, the charming town of Alba in Italy’s Piedmont region transforms into a culinary wonderland, hosting the International Alba White Truffle Fair (Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba). Known as one of the most prestigious gastronomic events in Italy, the 95th edition is scheduled from October 11 to December 8, 2025, spanning nine weekends of indulgence and cultural celebration.

The Alba White Truffle World Market is located in the evocative Cortile della Maddalena. This is where truffle aficionados can buy authenticated Alba white truffles—carefully evaluated by expert judges for quality and aroma.

The market also features an array of regional delights—cheeses, cold cuts, sweets, wines such as Barolo and Nebbiolo, and Piedmont’s famed hazelnuts. Here you can sample truffle-infused dishes, attend cooking shows by Michelin-starred chefs, or enjoy the brand-new Gourmet Sunset aperitif experiences.

Visitors can participate in sensory analysis workshops, cooking classes, and wine tastings destined to delight gourmands and budding culinary enthusiasts alike.

The event goes beyond gastronomy—featuring medieval parades, the Bela Trifolera, investiture ceremonies, folk events, and the whimsical Palio degli Asini, a beloved donkey race that enlivens Alba’s cobblestone streets.

Alba Truffle Kids offers educational and playful workshops designed for younger visitors, fostering curiosity through fun, sensory-rich experiences.

With roots tracing back to the late 1920s and formalized in the early 1930s, the fair has evolved into a landmark event, drawing tens of thousands of visitors annually.

The Alba white truffle (Tuber magnatum Pico) is one of the most coveted culinary treasures, valued at €7,000–€8,000 per pound, prized for its potent aroma and fleeting season.

From market rituals to sensory workshops, each moment is crafted to engage the senses and bring the tradition and locality of the Langhe to life. Book your tickets early as entry and wine tasting and workshop events often sell out.

The International Alba White Truffle Fair is more than a food event—it’s a cultural symphony: history, craftsmanship, gastronomy, and community intertwined.

Whether you're a seasoned truffle admirer or a food-first traveler, Alba delivers a truly rich, flavorful autumn experience.
