In celebration of the election of Pope Leo XIV, Timothy began work on creating of bust of the new Pontiff. This new sculpture was completed just days after the election of Pope Leo XIV on May 8, 2025.  “I’m really early on here, understanding who this person is, but giving form is my way of celebrating,” Schmalz said of his most recent work.
