On his most recent trip he writes: “Had a very interesting day in Siena today.  As you probably know, I spent two weeks studying l’italiano intensivo in Siena a couple of years ago and fell in love with the incredible city, its history, art, architecture and of course, Piazza di Campo.
On the Piazza del Duomo is a church, Santa Maria Annuziata. Here are a couple of photos. When I was a student here, my apartment was a three-minute walk to the Duomo, I passed by almost every day.

Today, I spent an hour in Siena’s Duomo, an incredible artistic, historic site with art, architecture, and history dating back to the 14th century. Stunning inlaid marble floors with historic stories, the Piccolomini library with incredible art surrounding the entire room, and green and white marble columns in the nave. Siena is one of my favorite cities in Italia!”
