The first National Dante Day

On March 25, Italy marked its first national Dante Day. Dante Day was established to celebrate two anniversaries. This year, 2020, marks the 700th anniversary of the completion of the “Divine Comedy” and March 25, 2021 will mark the 700th anniversary of the poet's death in 1321. Florence's Uffizi Gallery set up virtual tours of Dante protagonists and a show on the “Sommo Poeta,” while actors including Stefano Accorsi, Gabriele Lavia and Glauco Mauri read some of the
