Italy announces stricter penalties on art crime after three stolen artifacts recovered in the U.S. were returned to Italy. The ancient Greek items, a wine carafe, a decanter for precious oils and a soup tureen, had been illegally excavated from an archaeological site in Italy and smuggled into the U.S. where they were listed for sale at a New York auction house.
