The northern Italian region of Liguria is the longest-living in the European Union, according to figures from Italy’s national statistics office, Istat. Istat reports that more than three of every 100,000 Ligurians live to at least 105.

La popolazione ligure è la più longeva all’interno dell’Unione Europea. Il dato emerge analizzando i dati Istat (Istituto nazionale di Statistica), che hanno evidenziato che oltre 3 di liguri su ogni 100.000 vivono fino ad almeno 105 anni.
