SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE THROUGH AMERICANS OF ITALIAN HERITAGE CHARITIES INC.

The Americans of Italian Heritage Charities Inc. is offering four $2,000 scholarships to eligible student residents of Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, or Cuyahoga Counties of Ohio.

Scholarships will be awarded within three categories: “Green” for a GPA of 2.5 to 2.99, “White” for a GPA of 3.0-3.5 and “Red” for a GPA of 3.5 or above.

The selection committee is seeking to award well-rounded students who can demonstrate their dedication and commitment to continuing their education and who are in financial need.

The applicant must be a high school graduating senior enrolled full-time for the 2009-2010 academic year at an accredited 2 or 4 year college/university or a vocational/technical school or be a full-time undergraduate student attending an accredited 2 or 4 year college/university. One parent of the applicant must be of Italian descent.

Interested students may obtain applications from their guidance counselor or by sending a written request to AIH Scholarship Committee, c/o Americans of Italian Heritage Charities, P.O. Box 732, Mentor, OH 44061. The deadline is May 15, 2009.
